- Cardinus MOVE4Kids and MOVE4Teens voted number one by show-goers
- Second Attendee’s Choice Award win for Cardinus at ErgoExpo, Las Vegas
MOVE4Kids and MOVE4Teens, the ergonomic smartphone and tablet apps from Cardinus Risk Management, have won the Attendee’s Choice Award at America’s biggest ergonomics event.
Health and safety professionals and ergonomics experts from around the world have backed two exciting Cardinus Risk Management products at ErgoExpo in Las Vegas. MOVE4Kids and MOVE4Teens are interactive smartphone and tablet apps that are designed to help young people manage their use of technology safely and effectively.
The awards programme has been running since 2002. Throughout the four-day ergonomics conference visitors are asked to vote for the product or service that they believe will increase productivity and profitability, while improving workplace health and safety. This year it was the latest Cardinus apps that topped the count of voter’s favourites. In 2013 Cardinus won the same award for a range of resources to help children with technology usage, including e-learning, teachers notes and parent tip sheets, all freely available at ergonomics4kids.com.
Bill Pace, head of US operations at Cardinus Risk Management, said, “We are delighted to have won the support of such a discerning group of people for the second time. Professionals attending ErgoExpo are among the world’s knowledgeable ergonomics experts and they will only lend their support to a product they truly believe in. To have won in 2013 was great but to come back this year with two new apps and win again is amazing. I’d like to say a great big ‘thank you’ to all those visitors who voted for our MOVE4Kids and MOVE4Teens apps.”
Jon Abbott, director of Cardinus Risk Management in the UK, said, “We have been worried about the long-term effects of technology on younger users for several years and these two apps are the latest in a series of initiatives designed to protect young people.
“According to one recent report, teenagers are spending about nine hours a day using tablets and smartphones to play games and access social media. Nine hours a day. It’s incredible.
“And if it’s not done properly it’s incredibly dangerous. We believe young people are storing up serious problems for themselves in later life. This will not only directly affect the individual but also their future employers who will have to help them manage their injuries.”
MOVE4Kids and MOVE4Teens are both available to download for Apple and Android devices from their respective app collections. To find out more about ergonomics support for young people from Cardinus, visit ergonomics4kids.com.
