This release discusses our response to coronavirus (COVID-19) and how we will support our customers through this period of rapid change. We’re were working on building resilience through our organisation to help you continue to work safely and healthily.
Our focus is on ensuring health, wellbeing and safety first and foremost, but we are committed to working in partnership with clients to maintain our service standards and ensure our clients maintain health, safety, environmental and quality compliance as much as possible within the necessary restrictions.
To this extent, we will have the capability of all Cardinus staff to work from home within the next week. Already 60% of our employees regularly work from home with access to all key systems. We have invoked our business continuity plans and continue to react to latest news on a daily basis.
Last week the UK Government issued its plan to tackle the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 and Cardinus will continue to monitor the changing situation regularly in order to support our clients and employees.
We have put in place a series of controls and measures to support the containment of the virus. Cardinus, as part of a major global organisation, has a Travel Security Expert who coordinates and discusses travel safety matters with Group and the UK Leadership team, and these controls include appropriate restrictions in relation to employee business and private travel, which reflects the amount of risk.
We will abide by any customer requirements with regard to site visits (or other face-to-face training) by Cardinus employees.
We have also introduced further hygiene measures, including alcohol hand-rub and tissues in reception areas, on employee desks and regular advice for employees in line with guidance from the World Health Organization.
We are monitoring updates from national and local authorities and international organisations including the WHO for further developments, in order to keep customers regularly informed about the global situation and to mitigate any potential disruption to our services.
Outside of unaffected areas, business will continue as normal across our global business in line with all relevant guidance. We are aware of the impact on global supply chains and are working hard within the latest guidelines to limit any potential impact.
We will continue to monitor all developments and will provide updates as appropriate. Your usual Cardinus contacts are also available to answer any specific questions.
