Protecting Charity Sector Data
Yorkshire Sport Foundation wanted a program that would help teach their employees about their responsibilities when it came to handling data. They chose our Data Protection Awareness course, delivered to 45 of their employees since 2015.
Meeting Company Policy and Making it Easy to Use
Susan Hibbert, HR and Organisational Development Manager at Yorkshire Sport Foundation, told us that she was looking for a program that would help her meet her goal of finding a course that had “a concise summary of the relevant data … and [for it to] refer to our company policy.”
Of course, not only did we deliver, but having refined our courses over two decades, Data Protection Awareness provided an “ease of use” that makes it accessible for customers and their employees. Furthermore, she liked the fact that it was customizable to match her organisation’s particular policies and practices.
Quick Integration and “Excellent” Support
Integration with Yorkshire Sport Foundation’s system took an impressive two weeks. Furthermore, our customer support team ensured that the set up went smoothly. Susan remarked that “The support was excellent and totally geared to our company’s requirements.”
Easy Roll Out and a Little Competitiveness!
Susan found that she was “able to easily roll out induction training and refresher training for Data Awareness Protection”, which helped them meet their internal requirements over employee training.
However, there was one thing she wasn’t expecting. At the end of the course you’re given a test to see how much you’ve taken in. Susan told us “the test at the end creates a little healthy debate/competition! I didn’t expect the competitive element to occur but this has created positive discussion and raised the issue of data protection in a fun way.”
