We’re putting on two courses in London in September and October to help you support your staff in the working environment.
Over two days we’ll be tackling the important issues of behavioural recognition and travel safety. Find out more about the two courses below.
Work-Related Stress and Behavioural Recognition
Work is the most common cause of stress for UK adults. Recent Labour Force Survey statistics say 49% of all working days lost in 2016-2017 were due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety.
In our Understanding Human Factors course, Andy Neal guides delegates through the complex topic of work-related stress and its impact on the workplace. This interactive educational course will explore the topic of human factors and provide leaders and managers with a foundational knowledge in understanding, managing and dealing with stress and its outcomes. Techniques on recognising external pressures (behavioural recognition) will help delegates to identify stress to support workers and make the right decisions in difficult situations.
What is Human Factors in Relation to Personal Safety?
Employees face all kinds of pressures throughout their work, whether that’s internal pressures or external pressures from family and society, and sometimes these can cause people to make poor, rash and potentially damaging decisions that could impact the business, its staff and its customers.
Human factors attempts to understand the pressures that exert themselves on employees and helps managers, leaders and colleagues reduce and minimise risks associated with pressure and poor decision making.

Safe Travel
With 47% of organisations believing that travel risks are on the rise it’s time to take travel safety seriously. The risks to travellers are many, from minor business interruption events, to more serious thefts and mugging. At its most extreme business travellers are exposed to hostage situations and life-threatening events.
However, learning more about the risks associated with travel and understanding the safety tools and techniques available to travellers is a great way to mitigate risks. This is important not only for those that manage travel safety, but also for those who book travel, and indeed for those high-risk travellers themselves.
Cardinus Travel Safety Programme
